Ultrasound

What is ultrasound?

The pelvic ultrasound is a radiological procedure that allows us to examine the pelvic anatomy with the use of an ultrasound machine. This is a painless procedure and there is no radiation involved.

The ultrasound is performed one of our two female ultrasonographers in a comfortable and private environment right in our office. An ultrasound can diagnose causes of pelvic pain and abnormal bleeding including pelvic masses and diseases.

As a member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, Dr. Hagberg understands the importance of ultrasounds in gynecological care.
